Honestly one of my favourite bands of all time, probably because I've been listening since I was a kid. Love the vocals, the instruments, everything about them. #Glaze
The first I ever heard of them was when I still needed noise to fall asleep, so my Mom made CDs with nursery rhymes, but two Deftones tracks ended up on them, that being Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away), and Passenger. I'd stay up until Be Quiet and Drive would play because I felt badass falling asleep to something that wasn't a "baby song" . . . ??
My favourite album has to be Saturday Night Wrist. The sound is definitely different, and I like it a shit ton. Except Pink Cellphone, that song is ass. Just my opinion though.

Even In His Youth
This is one of those bands I'd listen to casually on the radio or throughout stores maybe, but then looked into and fallen in love with. The guitar has my heart the most, I'd say, on top of Kurt's voice.
As for very first listen, I couldn't tell you. I'll be honest, I only got super into the band about two years ago, but Drain You got me hooked then. Was my favourite until I listened to the entire discography, lots of great tracks, it's hard to really choose a #1.
Strangely enough, my favourite album is With The Lights Out. When I first heard Old Age I thought, "Damn, I need a song that sounds exactly like this one," and fortunately for me, there was Verse Chorus Verse! I think they sound relatively similar, at least.

I got into this band very recently, but I fucking love it. I don't know a whole lot about them, but they sound good as fuck and look super cool, that's all I've got to say.
I was introduced by RWS's canon playlist for Postal Dude. . . I have yet to listen to all of the albums, but my favourite tracks are 43, Qwerty, and The Wrist.

Don't even know about this one, was looking for more black metal to listen to and they shared a name with me so I was like ok cool. Gave a listen, loved it.
I have no idea what they're saying, but whatever it is, it sounds real great.
Another band I love from when I was way younger, burned CDs were a big thing in my household.
Venus and Bacchus was the first track I ever heard, just in the car going where ever we were going, and it played. I almost laughed at it, because it was the first of screamo I ever heard; thought it was a little ridiculous. Then I was super impressed with the vocals, having actually listened. From then on, I had wished I could scream good as that without fucking up my throat.
