Postal is a controversial shooter game originating in 1997 by its developers Running With Scissors. Players take on the role of the Postal Dude, who commits mass murder in beliefs there is a hate plague over the entirety of Paradise, Arizona, the town in which he resides in. As for lore, that's up to the player's interpretation, as it is meant to be enjoyed as an isometric shooter, but of course there are tons of theories as to what exactly is going on with the Dude and why he does what he does.Postal 2 is the second, lesser serious entry to the Postal series. Instead of a bird's eye view gameplay, it is a first person shooter, still assuming the role of the Dude in Paradise. Through out the week, the player is to carry out mundane tasks, which they can do passively or with violence. Following the course of the game, the Postal Dude puts up with being provoked by the dregs of Paradise on a daily basis; being mugged, attacked, and harassed. By Friday afternoon, the apocalpyse starts, being the downfall of society. Still, Postal Dude returns to his trailer despite the raining cats, random gun battles, and upped aggressiveness. The day ends in an argument with his wife, demanding why he hadn't picked up her Rocky Road she requested at the beginning of the game, concluding with a gunshot being heard. Apocalypse Weekend is an expansion pack, beginning Saturday morning with Postal Dude waking up in a hospital, head bandaged due to his attempt of suicide.
